SoilFirst by SriBioSoilFirst is an app operated by SriBio ("we", "us") that helps farmers diagnose crop problems, get agronomy guidance and order SriBio products. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Mobile number — to sign you in with a one-time password (OTP).
- Profile details you enter — name, village/town, district, state, language, and for dealers a business name.
- Location — only when you tap "Use my current location", to fill in your village, district and state and to plan deliveries. We store the approximate coordinates with your profile. You can type your address instead and never grant location access.
- Farm and crop information — crop, acreage, growth stage, irrigation type and the problems you select, used to produce a diagnosis and recommendations.
- Orders and cart — products, quantities, amounts and delivery details.
- Call-back requests — the number and preferred time you give so an agronomist can call you.
- Technical data — IP address and device/browser information needed to keep the service secure and working (for example, rate-limiting sign-in attempts).
How we use it
- Sign you in and keep your account secure.
- Provide crop diagnoses, remedies and product recommendations.
- Process and deliver orders, and send you order and call-back updates inside the app.
- Let our agronomists call you back when you ask.
- Approve dealer accounts and improve our guidance (for example, seeing which crop problems are most common).
We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- MSG91 — sends and verifies your sign-in OTP (your mobile number).
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim — converts your GPS coordinates into a place name when you use "Use my current location".
- Cloudflare and Turso — host our servers and database.
- Expo — delivers app updates.
- SriBio staff and delivery partners, only as needed to fulfil your orders and call-backs.
- Authorities, where required by law.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and its data at any time — see Delete your account. Order records may be kept longer where tax or accounting law requires it.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS. Sign-in codes are verified by our OTP provider and never stored in plain text; app sessions are stored in your device's secure storage.
Children
SoilFirst is meant for farmers and businesses and is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights
You can view and edit your details in the app (Profile → Edit details), and ask us for a copy of your data or its deletion. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you may also withdraw consent and raise a grievance with us.

We will update this page when our practices change and change the date above.
